FLUKE 2165A DIGITAL THERMOMETER

I have a FLUKE 2165A DIGITAL THERMOMETER which only shows on the display if F or C degree are used but no temperature value at all. I checked the display and it works. I am looking for suggestion to troubleshoot is and find what it is wrong. I have the repair manual with blue print.

I'm going to ask a dumb question. Did you have the temperature probe attached to meter?

I think you have a valid question. Yes. I tried with a prove connected, and gave the same result. I think you suppose to get zero if there is no prove, but not a blank display. Thanks.

Does the probe use a thermister?
Can you remove the connection and check the resistance of the probe when it is hot and then when it is cold?
If the probe is good, can you check and see if there is a voltage out of the connector?
