Actually J, to change the subject a bit, I have a copy of a posting sent to
all ADT dealers on VoIP. Well written, and good stuff ! I was kind of hoping
that ADT, being the biggest and best funded around, would somehow be able to
come up with a solution to the problem of alarms over VoIP. It's costing the
industry a lot of lost sales, and will only get worse over time.

We have a few scummy dealer around here that will hook it up in spite of all
the problems just for the revenue. I sure hate losing sales to those types !
If you guys have any ideas in regards to this problem, I for one would sure
like to hear about them.

Sure. Ever hear of an organization called "CANASA"?? How about
becoming a member and submitting a "white paper" on VOIP, or better
yet... suggesting they address it on their website in the "Introduction
to Alarms" section?? Or how about helping me write an article for the
FAQ at http://www.yoursecuritysource.com??

Uh, no, they CAN do something about it, but they CHOOSE not to. Wake the

They can't control usenet. They could do a better job of controlling
the dealers, however. If I'm ever in a position in the company to do
something about it I will. To be honest, the ADT dealers concern you
a lot more than they concern me. They don't factor into my day to day
life at all.

him? If not, then I say again, wake the hell up.

Yes. Someone elses problem, eh? Not your job? OK, sure. But guys like that
make you and your company look like monkeys.
