GL850A - can't reprogram this right?

hi guys,

I discovered a USB controller chip in something i disassembled.

there is no use for this right? I can't reprogram this without all the supporting programmers, etc. just like Atmel or PIC right?

From a quick glance over the specs it appears to be a hub controller, not something that allows you to interface something to USB.

So all it would be really useful for is another USB hub (like the one in your pictures)
