Hi All,
new to this so please forgive the simple (I hope) question!
I have the basic circuit using two opamps which takes input from a mic and plays it out of a small speaker (attached i hope is the circuit)

what i would like to do with as few components as possible is add an led which either lights or flickers with any input from the mic.
e.g. if the speaker was not working I would know that the mic was ok as the LED was flashing...

how would I do this? is it a simple as adding an led either before the first opamp or after it?

thanks

Connect the LED across the speaker (with a limiting resistor and reverse-connected diode across the LED).

The LED will flash with the audio regardless of the speaker being connected/working.

An opamp output power is too low to drive a speaker, use a power amplifier instead.
If the mic can hear the speaker then you will have acoustical feedback howling.
