I would like to take a small tape recorder and interupt the circuit with a photocell switch so it only comes on at night. Can anyone tell me what problems I may encounter and where I can buy small photocells.
If you are interested in a project then I can't help you. If you are also interested in a final product, I don't know if Light activated switch is the best keyword to use for a search, but I searched - only for a couple minutes, and found this site: http://www.electronickits.com/kit/complete/elec/ck1602.htm. It is a kit and requires building. I'd guess that there are devices on the market that are light activated and don't require building from unconnected components.
