Hi

I completed this project
http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/science/016/index.html

but I feel hard to make high voltage transformer 1000v /6000v

and one could help me and tell how I can construct this transformer with more detail .. ???

Thankx

Fahad,
Don't wind the transformer windings with your hand, or the wire will get twisted. Just spin the ferrite like a winch, and let the roll of wire also spin.

Usually a varible speed Drill running real slow works well if you mount it in a vice. Run a screw and nut thru the core and put it in the drill. A Lathe works even better.

Any way to modify this or build one that will only discharge when the prongs touch the target without continuously sparking?

Hi attackbat,

Welcome to our forum.

You have to increase the distance between the electrodes, that’s all!

I have completed this project and found nice output transformers at amazing1.com. I used the secondary of the output transformer for some nice kv voltage. This circuit will also drive an automotive ignition coil for approximately 40kv at this time using 8 AA batteries for power supply.

:)dont worry about t1 if you biulfing this stun gun there are alternatives like a flyback driver circuit that not only powers flyback transormers but any transformer in reverse  mode this will give you some good arcs to  look at the topic hand powerd generator  i used 2x 6kv ceramics to make a mini marx generator  and this alone would be an ideal adition  as it put out fat arcs when powerd up from the hand powerd generater

I have no idea what any of this is. I don't know much about electronics or anything. Is there any way of findind this in english? As in something I can understand?

Everything here is in plain English. This is a site for electronics enthusiasts. What are you having a problem to understand?

Just about everything. I'm not all that into this kind of stuff. I'm trying to learn but I wouldn't know where to go to learn all this. Basically just wanted to try making this.
