I say Good Day.
So I get this great idea to build a single 6 channel controller for a multi track train layout, instead of having 6 separate transformers.
20v 20a 400w DC power supply
9v 3a 27w DC power Supply
6 motor controllers w/ reverse switch
6 V&A digital meters
Test motor
Basic setup, 20vdc common input on all 6 MC, 9vdc common input to all meters (constant on display).
Test first circuit, seems fine, variable motor speeds, reverse works. Test second circuit just using a meter on output.
First circuit is on but at 0 speed, 2nd circuit voltage increase when turning pot, BUT... the 1st circuit motor starts turning.
So, all controllers affect any motor that's connected through the individual controllers. Tried to isolate with diodes, no effect.
Removed 9v supply from circuit, no change. substituted diff 20v PS, no change... Simplified visual attached, let me know if you need any detailed information. Researching mentioned sometime about "isolating capacitors", is that s what i need?
