I have an RCA 36 Console TV model G35302WK that is +/- 13 years old. The
picture lately has started to 'grow' in the sense that it has expanded
beyond the tube limits and therefore a slice of the picture on the extreme
left and right has disappeared. If this were my computer monitor I could
shrink the picture horizontally and recover the missing section, but I can
find no controls for doing this on the TV, neither in the SETUP menu or
with hardware switches.
I wouldn't care except that I have Dish, and they show the channel number
and other stuff on the extreme left and right of the screen and I can't
read it because it is only partially shown.
The RCA homepage has a FAQ (useless) and lists no address for
tech support.
I would like this TV to last until HDTV comes into standard usage, when I
will buy a new system. Last year my power supply went out and had to be
replaced, so I guess the set is feeling its age.
I will appreciate any help on how to adjust the horizontal width of the
picture. Thanks
