How do I make a pulsating light circuit?

Im new to this kind of thing - im trying to make a pulsating light circuit that would sit inside a 3d printed item.

My plan is to take this item -


and then wire a 9v battery into it, and wire some 9v LED lamps (5 to 10 of them) with resistors built into them.

This is my shopping list.


Would this work how I expect or am I doing it totally wrong?

Looks like the components are suitable. Show us how you plan to connect them.

The LEDs should be in parallel, not in series. The kind of LED you linked to has a built-in current limiter so it can operate on 9V. When you connect these in series as per your diagram, you need a much higher voltage: n ×9 V (n being the number of LEDs).
