I have a Noritsu QSS 2611 photo printer that uses a vacuum fluorescent
technology to transfer digital images onto silver halide paper (traditional
paper used in printing film negatives). Can someone refer me to a resource
that explains this technology in detail?

Every CRT tube, such as those used in your TV and computer monitor (if
not an LCD monitor) uses vacuum fluorescent technology. Electrons hit
a phosphor, excite the phosphor and that phosphor emits light.

Here is the top result from a Google search on the words "vacuum
fluorescent".
