how to make a communication b/w two robots connected to the central system?

i wanted to put communication b/w two robots which are connected to a central system and are to perform a job of serveying.most importantly its range will be around 10-15 m apart.im working and need help...

Sounds like a great project. If the robots are going to be in the same plane with reference to each other then infra red would be good. Otherwise ultrsonic would be best. Ultra sonic can even go from room to room sometimes. If money isn't too much of an object and you want greater range them 900mhz or 2.4ghz radio modems would be pefect.

compare to 900mhz or 2.4ghz radio modems  433mhz and 315mhz are more cheaper and easily available.
