It's kind of odd in my experience.
I've seen them using it industrial controllers a lot of Siemens and Allen Bradley gear .
And I was briefly instructed on how to use the hunter tracker proficiently by an individual who is an expert in my opinion on the hunter tracker in circuit component troubleshooting. In short if you're good at remembering geometric shapes you can breeze through 100 circuit boards
And flag components that needed replacement.
I say I found it odd...
Because all of my classical academic studies concerning electrical engineering were thrown out the window. But the expert who trained me knew nothing else about the circuits themselves or how they relate to one another
She didn't need to... She performed her duties. And got paid handsomely.
I'm not saying anything bad about the hunter tracker but give me a curve tracer any day.
