Like the title says I have a hyperion 1420i net3 Charger, I had it plugged into a generator and a buddy decided he need to plug his coffee pot in to the same power strip, and it bogged down the generator I heard a pop in side the charger.
I have opened and inspected It I don't see any thing burnt or any smell fuse did not blow

Are you able to charge something still? Does the charging circuit still function? My thoughts are that the load from the coffee pot caused the generator to dip and then to surge and possibly some small discrete got fried open. I also wonder whether the chipset detects a fault open in the charging circuit and resets the program. If you are able to, I would trace the power coming in from the line and look carefully at those components, diodes, caps and resistors. If the fault lies in the chip, I am sure you are aware that it is probably toast. Best of luck.
