I need to build a 100 amp motor controller

I have multiple sclerosis and have to use an electric trike for transportation. I live in a hilly area and the controllers that are supplied by the manufacturer are 20 amp. When I spoke with the manufacturer, he told me to get a 100 amp motor controller, but I found the price prohibitive. Can anyone tell me how to modify my present controller to 100 amps?

Even better, see if you can get a schematic from the manufacturer. Alas, most of the manufacturers are real tight-lipped and never give out such info -- they'd rather sell you replacement parts.
