Could well be broken.
I'd tend to get a doc look at it as things like that can turn nasty.
Apprentice at the foundary had steel drop on his foot.
He let it go and they cut his leg off below the knee 6 months later.
9 months later, off with his leg all together.
3 months after that he died.
