Can anyone send me a pic of a 78XX IC together with the supplying one phase diode bridge recifier please!!!

Hi Chris,

Here's a simple circuit which steps down 240 VAC to 9VAC. Its converted to DC using a single phase bridge rectifier. The DC is then regulated at 5V using the 7805 IC.

It's not the internet net skills Mr. Unfortunately it's the lack of knowledge since I have been studying electronics only for a month so far. Still thank you for your time posting this!

Sorry, but internet skills are the best antidote for lack of knowledge.

All you needed to do was enter 78XX in google and you would have found links to datasheets, which contain the circuit you were looking for.
