Ideal Diode in LTSpice

Hi,

On opening the LTSpice, there comes a bar on the top where the Components are placed (inductor, capacitor etc). I Wonder that the diode symbol given on that bar symbolises ideal diode? If not, then is there any way to include ideal diode in LTSpice?

The standard "D" diode seems to model a diode with some typical parameters and exponential I vs V characteristic, as you can easily check doing a simulation.
This is not an ideal diode.

Look here , post by John Larkin from Sun Apr 04, 2010 5:44 pm for a quick setup for an (almost) ideal diode.

I am not quite sure if the term "ideal diode" is a commonly agreed "definition".
Therefore, it would be helpful if YOU could specify the properties of the diode model you want (for example: Threshold voltage at V=0 or V>0?)
