I have a 17" monitor with no manufacturer on it just the model dx-1769, did a little research assume its a korean brand called jinsun. anyways just need some advice or if someone has come across the same problem i am having an a way to fix it. The picture on the monitor is stretched horizontally (like an interlaced picture) half way down the monitor, the the bottom of the picture is squished together. I am assuming a flyback problem? Been awhile since i used my electronic skills, so some help would be appreciated. Tried changing frequencies etc with no luck.

Sounds more like the vertical oscillator than flyback. Take a look at the
capacitors around the vert osc and output section.
