LED base - Changing speed of colors

I apologize for my "greenness" here... I have a small lighted base with 3 LEDs that is meant to be put underneath a laser etched crystal. The colors on the base change quickly like a second apart and I wish it were slower. For anyone who is familiar with the technology of these things, I was wondering if there is a way to change the speed, something like simply changing out a resistor.

Doubtful. In all likelihood, if you open it up, you will find a PCB with a black blob on it. And all of the critical citcuitry is inside that blob.
