Hello friends,

I’ve been racking my brain over the past few months on following issue:
I have a Lenovo laptop that basically works fine as long it starts up.
If you shut it down, often you hear the HDD still spinning and the Power LED remains on.
Then, if you want to Switch it on, nothing happens. If you leave it, then after like 30-60mins it turns on itself. After force shutting it down(pressing the power button for 15seconds).
The power LED turns off, but again if you want to switch it on again, only the LED lights, nothing else happens.
I tried all the low effort „fixes“ shown on common sites and youtube.

What I tried beyond them so far, without any luck:

Disconnect SSD + HDD
Disconnect battery and use wall power
Disconnect everything (like keyboard, touchpad) except batterypower

The annoying part is that sometimes the laptop will power on a few times normally over a period of time. In other words:
The issue cannot be safely reproduced.
One can assume that the issue lays on the mainboard. My visual inspection didn’t show any obvious problems.

Measuring, I can only say that on one side(marked) the resistance on caps is very low(2-6ohm) but no dead short.

Does anybody have an idea on where to look? I‘d really want this laptop to work as basically, as said it works well.

Sounds like some program is still running.
Maybe logged off or in some sleep mode.
