Finally, the gene-pool has a lifeguard!
Are there any good jobs where you work that might be a good fit for someone like me, entering their golden years?

Part-time maybe? Not too stressful. With lots of benefits and time-off? An active retirement job?

I know that at my company most of the hiring was done from within. People already working there would bring their friends in.

Can you get me into your company? May I call you friend?

I’d really appreciate it. Thank you in advance🙏🏻.

I heard somewhere that asking yourself the question “What did you want to be when you were growing up?” could provide a clue to your destiny.

The problem is how do I translate this into a viable career.

I was also inspired by:

I used to run around with a towel as my cape pretending like I was flying.

I’ve never had any friendships that lasted.

I’ve always been alone.

Maybe if I had developed more of a human connection with those I worked with, I might have lasted a little longer.

I did not fit in. I did not interact with others.

I wonder if I would have been more likable and gregarious, and sociable, I would have survived the chopping block.

I did not invest in real friendships at all.

I really enjoyed Scott Adam’s Dilbert comic strip. I wish they would bring it back. I could use all the humor I can get in my present condition:

Sometimes I feel like this character:

It’s make me wonder sometimes if it might be better to accept that dreams are over and that they’re probably not going to come back.

And to just let it go.

f u wanted this conversation to end with affirmation & coddling you should have said so from the beginning.

I’m sorry. I was looking for sympathy and comfort.

I miss my mommy and daddy.

I was hoping for affirmation and coddling.

I apologize for feeling sorry for myself and not acting like a man.

I wish I could be as strong as you guys.

I’ve learned through this experience that people hate and despise weakness.

And they will deal with such accordingly:

Can a girlfriend or wife provide you with the emotional support after a layoff?

They say that behind every successful man is a woman.
