Sounds good, but like all things in the RE space that sound good, it's

Annoying that the article is not crystal clear on the difference
between turbine and controller. It appears that the good doctor is
talking about controller technology only, but I couldn't tell for
sure. (Took a minute to give the author heck, too.)

It does appear he's talking about a controller that will squeeze
a bit more juice out of a wind turbine. I would suppose this would
fill the same sort of niche that maximum power point controllers do
in the solar PV world.

Just how much energy is contained in "low speed" wind anyhow? Is it
worth spending more money to harvest?

Why did nothing ever happen with "ducted fan" technology? IIRC this
increases the wind speed through the blade disc. Perhaps benefits
don't exceed the cost.

There was a German one on eBay a few month back but the capacity claims and
the price were outrageous. Didn't sound real enough and they wouldn't answer
my questions.
