We have a Modine Vertical ceiling mount heater that taken down years ago and placed in storage. We have recently pulled it out of storage and have decided to use it in our remodeled shop. Unfortunately when it was removed, no one thought about labeling the 3 wires for the motor.
One wire has a little black tag on it, one wire has a little red tag on it, and the third wire has no tag.
The black tag wire and the no tag wire both show continuity to one of the leads to the 4 uf capacitor and each other. The red tag wire shows no continuity to any to any other wire or to the case.
The paper tag on the side of the motor has faded to almost white so that is no help either.
This is the info off the side of the Marathon Motor:
M0DCB48A11T114DE CCW HP 1/4
3.2A 1PH 115/60CY RPM 1075
48FR CON A.O.M. 40*C AMB
Thermally Potected None
How would we figure out which two wires are to be connected together?
