need some project help or ideas

hi guys, the project i have to do is take a commercial metal detector and make it as high powered as possible. i am going to be buying a bounty hunter model detector. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how i could double the power output from the detector.
I just need to know like what kind of components i could use to generate a stronger electric field.

i used to have the red baron bounty hunter metal detector and i found plenty money with it and its discrimination abilities was excellant k but if you look at some links somewhere in the forums where someone posted the dtuff on metal detectors before the links will take you to a site where you can get the circuit schematics for other metal detectors so you can find your ideas there
