I read in sci.electronics.design that Pooh Bear
Found in r.a.p ( thankfully posted as a joke )

http://www.lavardin.com/lavardin-techE.html

" The memory distortion (1) of components is the greatest discovery in
analog audio design over the last twenty years..... "
It was a well-kept secret that each electron leaves a tunnel behind it
in the die. Of course, a hole flowing the other way will fill the tunnel
up again.

Graham
from the spexs
"Black anodised and painted
non magnetic high-grade aluminium"

I wonder if "magnetic high-grade aluminium" is a factory option?
It would certainly improve the perfomance near the poles

Hi Jim
It's also an unofficial unit of measurement

Of course. It came from his (Oliver Smoot's) frat initiation. They
used his body, end-over-end, to measure the Harvard bridge. There's a
commemorative plaque on the MIT end of the bridge, placed there at our
25th reunion in 1987.

A supply of holes can be obtained from wholesalers, of
course.

Groan... That's a terrible pun. Keep up the good work.

Touche'. I assume he means a cubic centismoot, or something. The smoot
itself is a linear unit.

That's an excellent idea. The holes could be supplied in clip-in modules
(like flash cards). That way the end users could replace them.

Hmm.. a blue LED would light informing the user the hole supply
was exhausted and they would either need to buy a new module or
put up with reduced frequency response and slower bass.

I see a new business opportunity. :)

Nah, a generic hole supplier, probably from China, will eventually drive prices
down with hole refill kits.

Unless of course you find a way to protect the the hole cartridges with eeprom.
