Nokia 446 XS 19" Monitor

Hi Guys,

I have some problems with a computer monitor a Nokia 446XS which is the short neck 19” version. I have tried to find a service manual for it but the “XS” version is nowhere to be found it seems!
I would be very grateful for any help on this one!

Hi,

Well it’s an intermittent problem, suddenly the picture gets toned in purple (I can still se the picture clearly and use the device). It comes and goes, sometimes a few days between and sometimes only hours between. It lasts for anything from 10 sec to 20 min and at one time the monitor shut down and wouldn’t restart until it had cooled of (at least that how it seemed) at the time. I can’t find any “suspects” inside, nothing burnt or swollen not even a bad solder joint so far. And of curse it refuses to do this while I have the probes in place (yes I have tried it with “freezer” spray too). I believe I must have a look at a schematic to find out what to hit whit my hammer! ;D

This problem still haunts me (the monitor is for my wife’s computer)!  ;D
Any ideas….? :-\
