I am using nrf24l01 for data transmission bit not getting the desired range even after setting the rate to 250kbps and power setting to 0db.when i break vcc and introduced a ameter it only showing 3ma of current which is not valid as per its datasheet don't know what is the problem.

Sure about the current consumption? The data sheet shows Ivdd(avg) as 0.12mA for the -6dB output level and in burst mode (not knowing what mode you're using of course...).
What is your 'desired range'? and what is the terrain between tx and rx?
