ok. I have an illuminated three prong rocker switch that I'm connecting directly to the battery and some accessory lights. I want the lights to be hot all the time so I don't need to have the car on to turn the lights off and on.

My issue is the switch is illuminated constantly since its run straight off the battery and I was hoping I could either find a weatherproof switch that isn't back lot or is there a way to wire the switch that I have so that the led on the switch never lights up?

This is what the switch I have looks like but mine just has pins 2,3 and 7

What happens when you use 2 and 3 for your hot wire?

3 I have hooked up to the lights I installed. 2 is coming straight off the battery.
Maybe try swapping them?

your LED may only be using a few mA so this is normal for cars with radios that have idle current or alarm security with flashing LEDs .

pls verify if you need it.

I suggest it is OK.
