Points assist igbt auto ignition
Is there any reason that one of the igbt coil drivers like this one http://www.onsemi.com/PowerSolutions/product.do?id=NGP8203N with a points trigger and a simple inverter input couldn’t be used for a motorcycle or car ignition ? Would the ignition left on with the points closed over heat the igbt? or other brobs?
