Program for drawing schematics?

I don't really get the joke re age and erc. care to explain?

Anyone who uses eagle knows what erc is.

It's really useful and has saved my bacon on a few occasions when I've not quite joined wires or had 2 wires overlap and thought they were connected.

It's always worth running before placing components..

I can see the point of paint for simple schematics but surely if it's more than simple then you may want to make a board at some point so you'd have to start again on a proper pcb package.

I already have these boards ... I was reverse engineering them so I could see what modifications I needed to do to make use of them.
Having drawn those relatively complex schematics, means I have a Very High quality diagram in my documentation.
I have reverse engineered dozens of boards of interest to me
I have also just redrawn dozens of other schematics from very crappy copies to now high quality drawings
