Question about this Loud Speaker

Hi

Look at this LoudSpeaker

Two Things are dark to me:

1- Is the back of those Speakers Open or Closed. Specially the Woofer? If they are closed, Are they sorrounded with the Round Cabinet
or there is a air way between the cabinet and The Main Black Chasis?

2- The two small one Speakers seems to be the same? are they really the same or One of them is Tweeter and the Other one is a midrange? or they are the same but with different Cross-Over circuits?

Hi Shahriar,
I don't know why the woofer has the round thing around it. To produce deep bass frequencies the round thing must have its rear open and the entire cabinet must be the woofer's enclosure (not just the round thing which is too small for deep bass) and either the cabinet must have its rear sealed or it could have a tuned port.

They don't say but I think the two 4" midrange speakers are the same. They are too big to be a good tweeter. Two are used for double the power handling. I think a little tweeter is located between the midrange speakers. I don't know what kind of tweeter it is but they say it doesn't have a crossover network, only at 125Hz. So maybe the tweeter is a piezo type. Frequencies below about 3kHz damage ordinary coil and magnet tweeters.

The Linkwitz-Riley crossover network design has been an audio standard for about 20 years.

The wooden stand must be hollow. It must hv used as enclosure combined with the round cabinet around woofer. Also the other two speakers r mounted outside the cabinet so that they don't interfere with woofer. Also the angle of woofer is 90 degrees from mid high speakers. This is because the low frequency is directionless for ears. The combination of round tube around woofer & stand increases the total volume. this means big cabinet for woofer to get more low bass.
