Just a quick question, can I use household 1 mm2 wire that is rated for 240V lighting use on a 12V lighting application to power a halogen bulb via a 12V car battery?
Ordinary house wire can be used for a 12 volt headlight and a 12 volt battery.
#14 gauge wire is good for 15 amps and 12 gauge wire is good for 20 amps.
A headlight my burn 65 watts @ 12 volts drawing about 5.4 amps.
