Sorry for asking a basic simple question but I do not know the answer:

I have a pair of battery heated gloves. They each hold a battery pack in a pouch on a glove.

Each pack is3.7v 3300mAh. They are Li-polymer.

The charger that has stopped working is a Switching charger output 4.5v DC 1.600A. It comes with two sets of connections so that one charges one battery set at 800mA and the same for the other pack. Each has a led that shows green when the charge is complete.

I am looking for a replacement charger. I propose to run two connectors in serial hence the need for 1.600A. The original charger does not mention it is suitable for li-po. Therefore should a charger with the following description be able to charge both packs at the same time and indicate that the charge is full?

Match worldwide Input Voltage AC100~240V 50/60Hz and DC Output switch multi Voltage of 3V/2A, 4.5V/2A, 5V/2A, 6V/1.5A, 7.5V/1.5A, 9V/1.5A, 12V/1A, Max 12W Power.

I am wondering if Li-po chargers are something special from what I have so far found on Amazon, uk

Sir Robin . . . .

Match worldwide Input Voltage AC100~240V 50/60Hz and DC Output switch multi Voltage of 3V/2A, 4.5V/2A, 5V/2A, 6V/1.5A, 7.5V/1.5A, 9V/1.5A, 12V/1A, Max 12W Power.

You DAMN sure don't want that charger hooked up to a set of LiPo cells unless you want the furniture that the charger was resting upon being lit by the flaming cells . Upon burn down, the furniture then lights the carpet or wooden flooring that it was resting upon, which then lights the bedding that your arse is fast asleep upon, which eventually lights your arse.

UNLESS you were being alerted by the two BANG- BANGS and whooooooooooooshes from the cells, at their
initial . . . . . I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! . . . . . states.

Dedicated and special chargers are required for that type of cell.

If yours are the 18650 round cells.

GOD forbid . . . . you have the flat pancake cells that REALLLLLY- REALLLLLY like to pooch up, rupture and flame-up.

Thank you both for your replies. I was being extra cautious in asking the question expecting it to be ok (the failed charger does not indicate it is anything special). I am therefore very grateful that I asked for help.
