I'm reposting this in the hopes that perhaps someone who didn't see it
the first time may now be able to help me. I have no schematic and I'm

This set has no audio out of the speakers.It does have audio out of
the RCA jacks in the back though. The output is a TA8211AH which is
equivalent to an NTE 7070.This chip should have 20 V VCC on pin 3 and
it measures 0V. There are two separate boards on this abomination
interconnected with the VCR sitting on top of one and the DVD over the
other. To further make matters worse, cables are so short it is
virtually impossible to lay this thing open interconnected to work on
it. Is anyone aware of any common audio problems with this model or if
not does anyone have a schematic that they might be able to share or
at least to look at for me to help trace the audio path. I'm not sure
