Deep and dark are the caverns we creep...
and near the crevasse' to thin for us to skweeze through...
We find that a component is designed to stand and deliver 2.4a without a sink and 6a with a sink....
I doo miee dishes weekly whether I need the sink space or not.....
And if a really great thingy, isn't working right, and everyone says to change the PSU Inverter which you cant afford....
and you find a component like this voltage regulator....

adding this momba jomba of a heat sink might get you the power you need for the thingy to function properly....
NOTE:
The system may not be getting enough power through the inverter system to operate properly...
and adding a heatsink is a good thing to do when things are heating up right???!!! Nuts on a perfboard..OK if you can't find any screws.... use bolts.

yeah yeah... it didn't work!, the fridge didn't still didn't cool off, but we also know that with CPU operated boards, sometimes it takes many restarts to reboot the system.

So I am looking for a nice replacement for the inverter.

I VOM probed on the tops of the large capacitors on the inverter to the outside of the fridge body. There is a large amount of voltage there, both CD and AC. Is this normal? I mean what is normal? Anyway, I don't know what the reading should be....

And that board is an inverter that you do not know if it is bad and want to replace ?
I would discard that sheeet circuit board and make the fridge work without crappy whatever-it-does 'smarty' electronics prone to fail at the first utility spike, using just a thermostat instead.
I do not need an appliance to email me the milk is rotting.

Agreed that would put my girlfriend in competition with the appliance but I could always add more features to the appliance which are less expensive than adding features to my girlfriend.
