Hi Everyone,

I have a Samsung QLED TV that recently started showing a black screen when powered on. The standby light works, and I can hear audio from the speakers, but the screen remains completely black. I have tried basic troubleshooting steps like checking the HDMI connections, changing inputs, and rebooting the TV, but the issue persists.

From what I have read, this could be a backlight failure or an issue with the T-Con board, but Iam not sure how to confirm this. I have some basic tools like a multimeter, but Iam not sure where to start.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem with Samsung TVs or other brands? What steps or tools would you recommend to diagnose the fault and fix it?

I would appreciate any advice or suggestions before taking it to a repair shop. Thanks in advance for your help!

To quickly verify backblight fault, shine a torch on an angle across the screen.
If you can see any image, it is a backlight problem.
Search Google for common backlight problems on your model monitor.

Thank you for the suggestion! I wil shine a torch on the black screen to check for faint images, which might confirm a backlight issue. If that’s the case, I wil research common backlight problems specific to my Samsung QLED model. Appreciate your help—this is a great starting point!
