Hey guys, im doing a project and i need to make an electronic scoreboard that can run on both solar and battery (rechargable) power. However i am very new at doing electronics, if possible would anyone be able to give me any guidance/help me create a cicuit diagram for something of similar complexity to the image below.

You might have to try posting that image again.

The project isn't for school (or uni) is it?

It's a major project. I would second the kit option.

Alternative power is simply an add-on after you get it working. Some sort of solar panel, regulator and appropriate sized battery (and possibly inverter). It's almost something you can go out and buy off the shelf.
