Hey Everyone!

A friend of mine gave me this camera. He found it in a dumpster and he thought I might be able to fix it. But I need some info on it before I do anything to it (like the instructions or who made it etc.). I attached photos of all sides so you can id it.

Thanks :D

Dan

have you got a 24V power supply?
have you tried to power it up ?
have you got a TV or monitor with a composite video input ?

they are a very generic camera sold by many A/V compamies

Yes and I hooked it up to it and the led came on.

I have a old CRT TV with a video in jack. Can I hook it up to that? What cable do I need?

Thanks for your time

A length of screened lead or preferably 75 Ohm coax, a BNC connector on one end to suit the camera output socket
and whatever connector on the other end to suit the video input on the TV

you did notice it was 24V AC, NOT DC didn't you ?

So your saying get a BNC to coax connecter run a coax cable to a coax to the jack I have on my tv connecter. Do you know what jack I have on my TV(I attached a photo of it)?

Yes I did

Thanks

Hey Dave!

The jack got here and I hooked it up to the TV. It showed a blur of nothingness (not the white screen with little black flashing dots) and then the TV
said the signal was unusable. So assuming the camara was junk, I opened it up. I do not see anything that blew up so I guess it just wore out. Is there any way of finding out whats bad?

Thanks

Dan
