i plan to make a motion detector security system.but right now i don't have any idea about it. hope the members here can help me.

Welcome to our forum. ;D
Hardware stores have a pretty good PIR motion detector sensor that can trigger an alarm of your choice.
At work, they got a wireless PIR motion detector with a wide sensing span and a range of about 10 or 15m. Its wireless range was far. It was from RadioShack. Its alert tone was an awful-sounding abrupt square-wave so I filtered it into a pleasant-sounding sine-wave chime.

thanks audioguru for ur info...which is the best to use between PIR n ultrasonic motion detector to trigger the alarm...i have no idea about this ultrasonic...hope u can help me in this....thanks again for ur previous post..it really help me...

Hi Buddie,
Which method of detecting motion do the sensors use today that are available in hardware stores? PIR! I haven't seen (heard?) an ultrasonic one since I was a kid and today I am an old geezer.
