If all goes to plan, this site will be moving servers in a couple of days time. The new host will come with plenty of extra space and greatly improved hardware, so hopefully the site speed will increase too!

There will be around 15 mins of downtime while the move is in progress, but I will try and do this at a quiet time. :)

Nice.
Does this, by chance, mean we would be able to attach larger files to posts? (I know, I'm horrible. Hehe.)

I'll have a look at what I can do :). What file size and type do you need to attach?

It usually seems the JPGs I try to upload are 130kB+, so I end up needing to ZIP everything. Not sure if it's a pain for folks to go the extra step to look at stuff. PDFs seem to be huge when I export them from my PCB packages, too... maybe I can make those smaller, come to think of it.

Thanks for the great site, btw.

I'll see if I can bump the JPG limit a little - but for things like PDF files it would be better to zip them where possible :)

JPG limits are now increased to 150k, so that should be within the range of most image files.

I've also changed the way the server works (using FastCGI + WinCache), so that it should be more stable and faster (a good combination :D).

I didn't find it slow before. But now it's definitely faster :)

Congratulations on the successful and problem free migration.
