hello
i need that the question i'll ask is a very silly one but i really dunno it's answer.. I have an on/off switch with 6 pins & i have no idea how to connect it ..can anybody help me ?

Hi Birdie!

There is almost :) no silly questions and yours is'nt silly.
If you got an DMM you can measure your switch quite easy.
If there is two pin rows at the connector it is probably a two pole switch, if you measure from those in the middle they will get in contact to the outer pins, which side of the middle is dependent on the position of your switch.
Do you have any photo or link to an similar switch?

hey
thanks for ur help.. i don't have a picture to that switch & my camera has something wrong so i can't send a picture of ii but i can describe it.. it has 2 rows each of 3 pins. I duuno what to say more about..

Hi Birdie,
Your switch is probably a double-pole, double-throw one. Its center pin on each row connects to an end pin, then to the pin on the other end when it is switched. ;D

The other row is completely electrically separate from the 1st row. Use it if you need something else switched. ;D

Birdie, in other words, it is like two of the switches in audioguru's post sitting side by side but only one lever controls both of them.
