I doubt the processing power of a PIC is suffcient to do any speech recognition at all.
You'd need a DSP at least plus lots of code.

because i m currently studying pic in my college..

how to do interfacing of pic with a microphone ?

Microchip actually has speech recognition software for the dsPIC chips, so it is quite possible.

Interfacing a microphone is done through an opamp preamp that amplifies it and offsets it by 1/2 Vdd then using the built in ADC.
