Technics amp su-vx800 goes in to protection mode

Hi dear friends out there,
My Technics amp su-vx800 goes in to protection mode after approx. 10 to 15 mins of play depending on the volume level.switch it off for 2 mins and it operates again.Could this be a faulty muting ic AN7073, a driver transistor or other faults.

A can of Freezit should help narrow down your search.

I agree with Jonboy. It sounds like something is getting hot and triggering a shutdown.

You might try using the Mk:1 organic temperature probe (a finger) to see if anything is really hot.

Just be careful if there's high voltages.

Once you've found it, try the spray on it to see if it has any effect.
