The link telephone intercom

Pl's,

I hv already bought all d necessary components, remaining d telephone and the transformer. I want 2 know what kind of T/F is 1k/8R & d kind of telephone 2 use, will Orpat telephone, MODEL: 1010 or 2318 be o.k 4 use & what kind of T/F 2 use. I'll be very glad if anyone can respond as quikly as possible

The transformer was used in transistor radios years ago. It is small and has a 1000 ohm primary and an 8 ohm secondary. Most electronics suppliers have Japanese ones for a couple of dollars.

I just noticed that the transformer's 1k primary must be center-tapped. It is fairly common.
I don't know your phones but this project uses phones with a pulse dialer or an old-fashioned rotary dial. A different project uses phones with a DTMF touch-tone dialer.

if not an old paulse dial phone, no new modern phone could be used?????????

In the project it tells you what type of phone to use.
There are other Link intercom telephone projects in our Projects Section. At least one of them uses phones with a DTMF touch-tone dialer. ;D

Pl's can someone help me out.
I am building d link telephone intercom and i want 2 know if orpat 1010 or 2318 will    do instead of d old phone, which is rare 2 obtain.
