You need "Power Electronics Handbook", or look for any document with "snubber" and "thyristor" keyword, both using "google". Very easy to find out and download.

Here is a new question. I want to prepare my thesis next term on power electronics. But I want to use plc too. What kind of thema would you advice? Plc is a slow working device. Maybe I sall use microcontroller. But plc has a priority.
I am open to every idea.
