I've been reading the book of malvino ( electronic principles ) 3rd edition . I have a doubt and its eating up my head . Please help me to go further .

According to the voltage divider concept ( i used the software "resistor calculator" on the site ) and found it to be 16volts at the last 2k resistor. Am i right ? i'm not so sure!!

Thanks a lot. I never took the resistance into calculation. I just divided the voltages and went on till the last 2k resistor. The correct value is 9 volts.
