OTOH the mess the US auto industry is in can perhaps be improved by some
better things, like thinking out of the box, just to get competitive
again.

Simple - just fire the unions and hire any of the 10,000,000 scabs waiting
at the side door ready to do a day's work at an _HONEST_ wage.
