Thyristor diagrams in wrong place or not?

HI,

I need some help deciphering this circuit on how it works and whether the components are in the correct place. It's from this website:

I found out that the thyristor they placed has G (far right) in the negative (something that A should be in since A is the centre of the thyristor). But A is placed in the Output according to the diagram so i'm abit confused with both diagrams. Any help is appreciated.

Also need to know how to attach a screw on capacitor to the circuit as i've never done one before.

Thanks Steve. By the way, i found out that the circuit on that website works so nothing needs to be changed. I only need the other larger circuit diagram explained as it is in german.

This is a simplified schematic so there's no charging supply shown for the cap. That said the polarity of that cap is backward.
