My Toshiba TZ43V61 is not a very old TV (maybe 5-yrs.) yet we recently
began having a major problem that is a real nusiance. There are times
that our tv turns on just fine, no problem at all. Other times we try
to turn it on and get nothing - the red power light just flashes. If
we shut the power cord off for various amounts of tiime, it will power
up when it is ready, otherwise we still get the flashing red power
light and have to keep unplugging and replugging until it decides to
come on.
Once in a while, not very often, well be watching the tv after finally
allowing power-up and coming on, and after an hour or so the tv will
just shutoff and when try to turn back on, there is the red power
light blinking and will not turn on. The whole waiting and unplugging
process starts again. When tv does come on it still has a great
picture, sound, etc. just like new. Please help. Any suggestions
greatly appreciated.
