Trying to fit a grounding wire on my PL-Z81 turntable?

The grounding wire that was in this turntable was removed a long time ago, so I bought a new wire and a preamp and opened it up. When I opened it I hadn't the slightest idea where to connect the wire. Can anyone help me out with this?

Hi there Pierce and welcome to Electronics Point :)

Ideally the grounding wire should be connected to the power amp, not the preamp. If you connect it to the preamp, any current that flows through it will flow through the wires that carry the signal from the preamp to the power amp, and could cause hum and noise.

If you're asking where to connect the grounding wire at the turntable end, normally you connect it to the chassis, but since that turntable seems to have a plastic chassis, you could try connecting it to the flat metal piece. There's already a connection at the top left of your photo.
